It seems like it’s been a long time coming, but the Whole Foods Market on The Alameda and Stockton Ave will finally open on December 9, 2014. This location will feature a juice bar, a coffee house, and, the first of its kind in California, an in-store microbrewery and tap room, complete with an in-house brewmaster.
After several years of rumors and delays, this Whole Foods promises to be a great place to shop, eat, and hang out, making it a welcome addition to the expanding Alameda district — and another successful move on the part of city planners and downtown’s Urbanist creative culture to grow San Jose’s urban core to be both more livable and more walkable.
The grand opening will begin at 9:45 am Dec. 19th with a “Bread Breaking Ceremony.”
