Model Monday: Kyrsta

Plans for spring include great escapes to tropical climates and wearing bright, bold statement pieces. Keep things simple with a co-ord set to transition from day to night, preferably in a playful print or a light knit fabric that moves. Go for simplistic elegance with scaled down geometric accessories and slicked back hair for a pulled together look, or dress the outfit down with chunky gold jewelry for an ’80s vibe, big sunnies, and hair styled in loose beachy waves for instant poolside glamour. Channel some old school Hollywood drama with a simple neutral bodysuit and statement kimono cover to lounge around in style. For the face, ample moisture and sun protection is key, and a touch of unexpected color for the eyes and mouth will keep this sun-kissed look edgy and fun. To bring it up a notch, try a bold, dark lip and bronzed face or even fashion a scarf as a hair accessory.

What do you enjoy about modeling? My favorite is meeting and working with new people. I’ve met so many interesting people with really cool backgrounds, and I’ve also made a few really good friends through it.
What do you think is the most pressing current social issue? Definitely our environmental issues—one of the biggest issues being global climate change caused by pollution. We need to protect the planet we live on.
Guilty pleasure? Binge watching the old seasons of Teen Wolf. It’s my favorite show, hands down.
Favorite article of clothing/accessory? Boots!

What are you currently inspired by or very intrigued with? I’m inspired and intrigued by the parts of the world I have yet to see! I cannot wait to travel and experience the world, it inspires me to succeed in both school and modeling.
What is your “guiding philosophy” for life? My guiding philosophy for life is really simple: to try. The only real failure in life is to not try. It’s important to take on new risks and challenges in order to grow as a person.
