Explore Morgan Hill

Despite the growing number of houses and businesses in Morgan Hill, it still feels like a small farming town where people know and look out for their neighbors. The city has a long history, stretching back before it was incorporated in 1906. Largely shaped by Spanish settlers and the gold rush, agriculture was (and still is) the primary focus of the area. Take a drive through the beautiful hills, stop at a winery, and stroll through the charming downtown to see all that Morgan Hill has to offer.

With many trails and beautiful weather most of the year, it makes sense that the South Bay has a vibrant cycling culture. Specialized Bikes strives to be the key source of innovation and quality when it comes to choosing a bike. In addition to creating beautiful bikes, Specialized is actively involved in building up the community. The Specialized Foundation works to improve the lives of kids who struggle with ADHD through exercise, and Specialized also works on various passion projects brought forward by employees.

This adorable donut shop has been family-owned since 1986. Their donuts are made fresh each and every morning. The shop has a ’50s diner style with cushioned barstools, old-fashioned posters, and a pink countertop. While their primary focus is donuts, they also make cheeseburgers that the locals claim are the best in town.

Lion Ranch Vineyards & Winery is a true labor of love. Kim and Todd Engelhardt decided that they wanted to start a winery, so they set out to learn everything they could about the industry. In 2011, they purchased land and planted over four thousand grape vines with their own hands. The winery was opened for onsite tasting in 2015. Their goal is to create delicious wine in a way that is responsible and sustainable—without the use of any harsh chemicals.

In 2005, a beautiful craftsman house originally built in 1911 was moved next to another historical house to become the Morgan Hill Historical Museum. The museum sits on 2.5 acres of land and is on the Registry of Historical Landmarks. In addition to sharing a history that dates back to the early days of California, the site holds educational events, community gatherings, and even wine tastings.
