Happy 4th of July!
To kick-off its 100th year, the Rotary Club of San Jose will host a free Centennial Fireworks Celebration in Downtown San Jose at Discovery Park (180 Woz Way) on Friday, July 4th starting at 9:30pm. With a dazzling 20 minute fireworks display planned, organizers are encouraging the use of mass transit — come early and bring a blanket! This is a family-friendly event (no alcohol will be permitted).
One block away in Plaza de Cesar Chavez is the 2nd Annual Bacon Festival of America — featuring food trucks, drinks, music, entertainment and local SJMade artisans. And bacon! The two day festival starts on July 4th at 3pm and runs through July 5th at 8pm. Discounted tickets ($10 – $15) are still available here. Bonus: Special Rotary Club fireworks viewing area for Bacon Fest attendees.
